Pride Threadz was born from creativity, healing, and the power of self-expression.
More than 20 years ago, during a difficult and stagnant season of life, our founder found refuge in art. Living quietly in the countryside, surrounded by nature but battling emotional isolation within an unhealthy relationship, creativity became both an escape and a form of therapy.
What started as simple sketches soon evolved into something unforgettable.
Inspired by everyday items around the house — cereal boxes, candy wrappers, detergent bottles, and childhood nostalgia — playful concepts began to take shape. Fruity Pebbles became “Fruity People.” Cheerios inspired “Queerios.” Favorite candies transformed into bold, pride-inspired statements like “hiM & hiMs” and “Lickers.” Even household staples sparked creativity, turning familiar brands into unapologetic celebrations of LGBTQ+ culture, identity, humor, and pride.
At the time, these ideas were simply a creative outlet — hidden away in sketchbooks and tucked into storage for years. But the vision never truly disappeared.
After rediscovering those original sketches decades later, something clicked.
Now, entering a new chapter of life at 50 years young, full of renewed energy, confidence, and purpose, the dream has finally come alive. What once began in silence and solitude has transformed into a bold celebration of authenticity, individuality, resilience, and joy.
